THE OTHER SIDE

     On the other side of decision there is peace, DIRECTION, and focus. Many live in the limbo of what if, what about, when this does that, etc. and the whole time LIFE keep passing them by. Winters become spring turning into summer falling into fall; perpetually. The perpetuity of life for these individuals IS this fixed state of paralyzed limbo. My heart breaks at this state. It literally gives me reverse butterflies.
 
Because I have been there. I have been stuck. Imprisoned. Living with the ever-present whispers of it will never be and they are all going to laugh at you. It was torment and it is torment still for those occupy (reside in) that mindset. For me, and many others, most of what was feared never materialized. And if it did, we overcame it.
 
What life has taught me is that the what ifs, what abouts, and when states are not designed to be states of existence but of occurrence. These occurrences test us. Our strength, our innovation, our resilience, our beliefs, our character, our humanity. They test our norms and the ‘why’ of them being our norms. They expose our deficits, our abundances, our biases (also known as prejudices), our strengths and our vulnerabilities.
 
So bump it will never be. Bump what if you get it but can’t keep it. Cease living in fear of success- or failure- because of image, or what people will say (judgments), or even of falling short. Fall, just fall FORWARD. LIFE is for living. Life is to experience and enjoy the wonders of our brief time here.
 
If you don’t want change to occur, or everything is just right the way it is; I get it. And I bless your decision.
